Gemma (they/them) started pole in 2015 and is now an international teacher, performer and judge. With nearly a decade in the industry, Gemma is a fierce activist for Sex Worker rights. As well as being a Sex Workers Union member and campaigning against the closure of UK strip clubs, Gemma has their own podcast, The 6am Club, where they aim to destigmatise the work and humanise workers through balanced insight. PDSM is also an extension of Gemma’s activism, leading Sex Worker-centred events: the Competition; Showcase; pole holiday ‘Slutcation’ and the pop-up strip club with an ethical twist ‘Sexplicit’.
